Martin W Port Saint Lucie , FL August 15, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer LAT9205AAM Moving my maytag from the wall to get to dryer exaust for repair the washer drain hose placet too much stress on the siphon break elbow thus the elbow and flange snapped By removing the 4 siphon screws from the rear, opened an access plate near the siphon assembly to pull the assembly out of the body to inspect. While the access plate is open, one can install the new elbow from the inside of cabinet. I then cleaned the rubber seal (existing) lubed it with silicone grease, lined up the 4 mounting screws, applied out word pressure while lining up the mounting screws to the siphon body. Be sure to clean the inside of rubber drain pipe for positive reseal with clamp.
