Charles M Bandera , TX March 30, 2014 The baking element was on fire I finally found the right serial number and found the part at Appliance Parts Pros. Richard S Camano Island , WA May 19, 2015 Appliance: Model JENN AIR (MAYTAG JDS9860AAP) Burned out oven bake element Very easy fix. Remove oven door by just opening it slightly and pulling up. (an easy way to clean it too). Then, with a phillips screw driver, remove two screws holding the damaged element in place. Slowly pull the element toward the front a couple inched to expose the wires. Disconnect the wires (no tools needed), remove the old element and replace it with the new. Reverse the past few steps and re-attach the wires and screw. Simple as that. I also chose to replace the Broiler Element as a precautionary measure following essentially the same procedure (a few more screws). The oven door gasket was old and leaking, so it was also replaced as well. No tools require.
