Description

This bake element mounts at the bottom of the oven cavity and supplies the heat required for baking and roasting. Replace a failed element to restore proper preheat, even temperature, and reliable oven performance.

• Provides radiant heat for the lower oven during Bake mode
• Helps maintain the set temperature for consistent results
• Common failure symptoms: no heat in Bake, very slow preheat, uneven/undercooked food, or visible blisters/cracks/breaks in the element
• A shorted element may trip a breaker when Bake is started

• Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the range before servicing (high-voltage hazard)
• Remove oven racks; take out element mounting screws and carefully pull the element forward to access terminals
• Note/photograph wire positions and transfer wires one at a time; ensure terminals are tight
• Reinstall mounting hardware, verify the element is centered and not touching the cavity, restore power, and test Bake
