Elvir I Imperial , MO January 07, 2019 Appliance: Maytag Self Cleaning Free Standing Electric Range MER5751BAS 8 5" burner went out on Maytag MER5751BAS range Pull out range and UNPLUG from wall, even with the knob in the off position one side of the burner/heater always has live power on it.Remove two screws holding the glass top, slightly pull it out, unplug 2 wire connectors, pull out and up and the glass top will come out, flip upside down. Remove two screws that hold burner in place. Install new burner (WHIRLPOOL Elmnt-Surf Part #: AP6030937 (W10823715). Make sure power wires go back on power terminals and limiter wires go back on the limiter, its hard to swap them beacuse the power wires and terminals are the bigger ones. Plug in the 2 wire connectors. Put glass top back on and secure two screws. Screws are accessed from underneath when oven door is opened. Read More...
