How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6030937 / W10823715 Surface Heating Element (Top Burner)

Ordered the part from your site. My husband replaced it and now it's working great. Save us a lot of money. Cheaper compare from other sites and stores. This is my third time purchasing parts from this company. Fast shipping. Happy customer! 

Replaced 

Pull out range and UNPLUG from wall, even with the knob in the off position one side of the burner/heater always has live power on it.Remove two screws holding the glass top, slightly pull it out, unplug 2 wire connectors, pull out and up and the glass top will come out, flip upside down. Remove two screws that hold burner in place. Install new burner (WHIRLPOOL Elmnt-Surf Part #: AP6030937 (W10823715). Make sure power wires go back on power terminals and limiter wires go back on the limiter, its hard to swap them beacuse the power wires and terminals are the bigger ones. Plug in the 2 wire connectors. Put glass top back on and secure two screws. Screws are accessed from underneath when oven door is opened. 

Replaced burner 

Replaced the 9"burner with a new one. Very easy to access. Had to be careful with connections becasue they switched sides of connections. 

Replaced. 

Uninstalled old burner and installed new replacement part 

Bought one from you guys.... great price and came with instructions. Followed the wiring instructions exactly; used the lead lengtheners as mentioned and provided. Mom was happy when her favorite element worked again.

There were 2 screws in front by door took them out, pulled top out a little and lifted top up. There were 2 screws holding element up took then out on hooked wires, took metal clips off old one, put them on new element and reinstalled new one in reverse.
