Brad W Sheboygan , WI March 19, 2019 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL/KENMORE PORTABLE DISHWASHER Food particles and grit on dishes from dishwasher Replace filter unit and pump seal kit. This is a pretty straight forward repair. Removal requires a few tools: small socket set, a few torx bits, and a little patience to clean out the extra soap and crud that collects below the filter assembly around the impeller and pump. Diagnosis is also fairly straightforward as you will begin to see and feel grit on your dishes, especially on the top rack and you will see that the filter is full of the same grit. To access the filter, simply remove the lower rack and the water impeller arm and cover and you will be right there. Mark S Burien , WA February 06, 2017 Appliance: Model 665.13592K600 Odor in dishwasher from filter for the pump Remove and replace with a new filter. Its a non sevicable filter, so the only fix is to replace the whole part. You could try to modify one that you could open and empty the trapped food, but my original filter lasted ten years, so $60. every decade seems reasonable. Robert L Morristown , NJ March 28, 2016 Dishwasher was not cleaning dishes I Dissembled the dishwasher until I noticed the old filter, it had a large tear in the mesh and was clogged. I found this part on appliancepartspros and it was the most affordable around. It also shipped in 1 day, which was impressive. I replaced the old part and now my machine is working perfectly. I would definitely shop here again if needed.
