Donald T Stewartstown , PA August 09, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MFI2569VEM4 Bad gasket / melted tray (my fault dishwasher) The tray was simple, pick up the old one, pop in the new one. The gasket for my refrigerator was almost as easy. When I received the part I opened it up and let it lay flat for about 3 days (probably overkill). The old gasket popped right out and the new one went in really easy. The entire job took me about 10 minutes to do, no tools required. I do recommend that you start with corners and work your way to the middle of each side. I found that would prevent any stretching. You also need to make sure the gasket has a flat seal all the way around. Doing this job myself saved me almost $100.00 for a service call. Trust me, if I can do it so can you!
