New door seal did the trick.

Replaced the gasket.

Did a google search fro replacement washer, with dishwasher make and model. Appliance Parts Pros site came up. The gasket looked the same as mine and so I ordered it right away after looking online for a replacement dishwasher that was going for $1000+ installation. The video on the site was very helpful and I had the part shipped to my door. After another look at the video I felt confident enough to give it a go. 10 minutes later, the dishwasher is working like new and with no leaks detected. It only cost me $30 plus shipping.

I replaced the door balance linkage. It was better made than the original on my KitchenAid dishwasher, since both pulleys turned reducing friction that eventually caused the original to break. A very easy repair. I then replaced the gasket that seals the door shut. Original did not have any sealant, which is why it probably pulled out and tore against the metal groove. I used the sealant when I did the repair. No problem installing. No problem with door closing properly. There is no "white stripe on seal" as directions indicate, but the cross-section shows clearly how to position the gasket. I'm very pleased with the ease of ordering, the shipping time and the quality of what I purchased.
