The part just snapped into place no tools required. My only complaint was the model I provided said the white grille would not match my fridge but went on without any issues. I had to take the outside part of the ice compartment apart to find out what was broken. A person at Appliance Parts was familiar with the problem and knew which part I needed. ( broken tabs repair kit...$72) He was very helpfu. When the part arrived, I read through the instructions and also watched a YouTube video. David H Blue Mound , IL March 13, 2016 Appliance: Model 106.56532400 Ice maker in kenmore refrigerator not working was frozen guessed failure of heater Replaced ice Maker unit completely, viewed video provided by Appliance Parts Pros, video made job easy. Ice Maker arrived next day even though I just paid standard shipping charges, I was impressed onceagain by quick order processing and delivery. The old unit did indeed have a failed heater unit plus other cracks in the body of yhe ice maker, new unit was working immediately. Parts were geniune factory Whirlpool parts. Only issue was uncoupling connecting power plug to ice maker, had a hidden tab on side that held it together. Also bought new ice maker door shelf that fit perfectly, the old shelf could not be cleaned any longer and was appearance item on front of ice maker door. Looks new now! Read More...
