Ronald M Fredericksburg , VA June 29, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MSD2351HEB Restricted water flow through water filter and to ice maker Utilizing online diagnostic assistance, I was able to isolate the problem to one of four causes: water filter, water filter housing, low water pressure, and the water inlet valve. I checked and ruled out the water filter by replacing it. Then, I ruled out water pressure by checking the supply line pressure. I used a youtube video to learn how to test the water intake valve and ruled it out. This left the water filter head and tube assembly (housing). Replacing the filter housing was very easy. I followed the guidance provided on AppliancePartsPros.com to properly replace the water filter housing. It took about 20 minutes and my refrigerator was back up and running. Daniel N Virginia Beach , VA March 23, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MSD2651HEW Unable to use filtered water for ice maker and fountain Replacing the filter did not fix the problem so had to replace the the filter head assembly. Chad A Los Angeles , CA October 17, 2016 Filtered water had low pressure At first I thought it was a bad water filter but as I removing the old one water started shooting out of the filter head. I searched online and found a video on replacing it. I saw how easy it was so i decided to purchase the part. I received it rush order and got it in 2 days. I studied the video instruction and followed it exactly as shown. It took me a total of 1 hour (turning off water and power to fridge, moving the fridge, removing the lines, removing the water filter head, replacing head and filter, run the lines, and turn on the water and power). It should have taken only 30 minutes, but I had some issues removing the 10 year old lines. If I had to do it again, it should taken less than 20.
