Used screwdriver to push in plastic tabs holding old unit to the top of the refrigerator box

Identified potential parts needed. Found info on this site on how to remove/replace these parts. Ordered needed parts on Friday mid-morning. Received parts on Saturday late afternoon without expensive overnight shipping. Replaced parts, and water dispenser worked properly. Total time water dispenser was inoperable was less than two days.

At first I thought it was a bad water filter but as I removing the old one water started shooting out of the filter head. I searched online and found a video on replacing it. I saw how easy it was so i decided to purchase the part. I received it rush order and got it in 2 days. I studied the video instruction and followed it exactly as shown. It took me a total of 1 hour (turning off water and power to fridge, moving the fridge, removing the lines, removing the water filter head, replacing head and filter, run the lines, and turn on the water and power). It should have taken only 30 minutes, but I had some issues removing the 10 year old lines. If I had to do it again, it should taken less than 20.

You folks are Great ! I knew my part was broken but for the life of me couldn't figure out how to remove it or put a new part back in. Found a couple places that were selling the replacement part but that still didn't tell me how to remove or replace it. Then I found your site and not only did you have the part at the lowest price, you also had a short video showing me how to replace it. Made the job so easy I couldn't believe it! Replaced the water filter head. Watched the youtube video made by Appliance Parts Pros. Luckily I bought the two related parts (the styrofoam block fill and the backing plate) because I broke both in removing the old part. All the parts together were about the same cost as a filter so it really paid off
