Whirlpool WP67006524 Refrigerator Water Filter Head And Tube Assembly OEM Part

We were experiencing slow water flow from our Whirlpool interior water dispenser. The water would flow normally for a couple of seconds then subside to a trickle. After replacing the water filter and inlet valve, research suggested that the water filter head could be the culprit. In about 30 minutes, I was able to remove the old part and replace with a new part solving the problem.

I went on line and found the correct part with the help of the parts lists. I red the how to fix help and was able to replace the unit in 30 minutes.

Replaced the whole filter and adapter assembly complete with water lines. After installing the new parts and new filter. I tried the old assembly and discovered the filter just needed a little extra careful persuasion. I did discover that the line with two blue-colored bands has to be inserted at least so one band doesn’t show.

Replace filer receptacle. Easy 5 min job.All you need is a 1/2 open end wrench. The wrench is used to depress the ring on the solenoid valve to remove the hose. The receptacle door snaps off the receptacle snaps loose. Remove the foam insert and pull hose through the from the front. Use wrench as described to remove hose from solenoid. Use filters. I git tired of replacing the minerals clogged the receptacle. Easy job

Watched Appliance Parts Pros videos trying to diagnose the problem. I also submitted a description of our problem to the help desk (an infrequent vibrating noise and low flow rate coming from the water dispenser) The Appliance Parts Pros team suggested replacing the water filter head. Ordered the part plus a new water filter. Parts came about a week later. Replaced them today. The video on replacing the head was very helpful. The water dispenser is working like new now.
