Michael G Mcmurray , PA August 30, 2021 Appliance: KitchenAid Refrigerator KSCS23FVMS03 New filters would cause the water lines to "hammer" and/or no flow; valve internal to the housing was stuck open so water flowed onto the floor when the filter was removed The video was very helpful, but my KitchenAid model required slightly more steps. Only the two screws in front held the filter housing, same as the video shows, but it has to be removed from the rear. My model did not have the wire brace, only the two front screws held the housing. Shut the water off and pull the electrical plug. Remove the two screws holding the filter housing in the front. Remove the lower panel in the rear at the bottom of the refrigerator. Remove the two screws holding the water valve and remove the two water lines from the water valve (same procedure as removing the lines from the filter housing shown on the video). Pull the water valve off to the side (wires do not have to be disconnected). Remove the two screws holding the water valve mounting bracket and pull it out. On my model there was a drip pan which I pulled out for convenience. Pull the filter housing all of the way out and remove the two water lines. Reverse the above to install. One minor issue: One water line had a slight drip after I re-installed it into the water valve. Pull the line out and cut about 1/4" off the end. Re-install the line and the drip was gone. It is simple but not quite as simple as the video shows with the housing removable from the front! Sean C Little Neck , NY December 05, 2021 Appliance: KitchenAid 42" Built In Refrigerator KSSC42QTS03 A leak near the water filter the housing bottom tube retainer failed. Replaced the filter housing. After removing the kick plate in the front of the unit it was a tight squeeze for somewhat large hands. You must be patient because you'll also need to replace the water module to the left of the filter housing in order to remove and install the new housing.
