Parts were in my opinion overly expensive. For the slides to be $125, it is difficult to fix my freezer in that it is old. I replaced only one side but certainly would have replaced both if they are less costly. The plastic retractor was broken on one side only. New slide is very strong and it did the job. Yves S Fort Pierce , FL October 08, 2020 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator AFD2535DEW11 Several parts needed for our fridge but our service company didn't have the parts in their inventory Just one of the parts they did have would have cost me $280 (damper motor) not including labor. I bought all 4 parts - damper motor, thermister, defrost thermostat and drawer gear kit - for $167 delivered in 2 days. The serviceman installed them in about 1 hour and charged their hourly rate of $125. So, for a total parts and labor of $292, a little more than what they would have charged for only 1 part the fridge was fixed. I'm very pleased. Read More...
