Andrea M Honolulu , HI March 01, 2015 Appliance: KitchenAid 48" Built In Refrigerator KSSS48QKT01 The ice dispenser lever was cracked and did no longer trigger the dispensing of the ice I replaced the Ice Dispenser Lever. Since the replacement part is only available in white and my fridge is bone, I replaced also the Water Dispenser Lever, so it looks much better. I followed the instructions in the video, which were very useful and very well done. My problem was that the refrigerator is a KitchenAid built-in, while the instructions were for a Whirlpool, so the removal of the faceplate was quite different from what was shown in the video and more difficult. Also there were some differences in the wiring, but those were minor. Once cleaned it took about 15 minutes to reinstall both ice & water dispenser, ice guide and grille. You will be surprised of the mess you have never seen. Read More...
