Raise range top a few inches and support from below . Remove screws under edge of top using screw holes in new top as guide [not all screws need to come out] .Remove two screws from center of lip of downdraft opening . Lift off old top . Thomas M Fishers , IN January 29, 2016 Appliance: Jenn-Air Electric Downdraft Surface Unit CVE3401B Cracked glass top stove First turn power off...electric range. Remove control knobs. Place four ten inch pieces of wood at each corner of the stove. Disconnect the down draft. Push the stove up from under the counter. Use each wood block to set the stove in a level position which allows access to about ten small screws that connect the glass serf ace to a metal box that houses the burners. Remove the screws and lift off the glass surface. Place the new glass top in position and screw into place. Do not over tighten the screws. With a person to help lower the stove back into place removing the pieces off wood holding it up. Reconnect the down draft and place knobs. Restore power and your done.
