John R New Port Richey , FL September 05, 2015 The motor in my kitchenaid blender overheated after six years of abuse as a result the resin on the windings melted and began to burn then the motor locked up after it goo'd up the armature I ordered a replacement motor which was less expensive than a whole new base. I took apart the base, cleaned it up, swapped the motor, and put it back together.
