Dave J Secane , PA April 01, 2016 Dishwasher model #665 13049k113 filled with water didn't wash but pumped waste water out i e cycled Dishwasher is a little over 3 years old. Hindsight- wasn't washing as well as it should. Started it using Smart Wash as usual. Heard a loud noise, thinking it was something inside, I paused, opened the door, checked and didn't find anything wrong. Resumed wash (no more noise), opened door at the end of the cycle. Steam was coming out, but dishes were dirty. So my assessment was: circuit board was ok (because it cycled properly). Water came in and was pumped out. That left the wash pump (3 years old). Went online, researched, ordered part. Took a chance my troubleshooting was correct. It was, and paying the extra, overnight charge was worth it. I guess the noise I heard was the pump taking a dump. The $$ was small compared to a new machine. Read More... 4 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
Erich S Hoffman Estates , IL January 21, 2017 Leaking from the bottom After some research, I found that the sump and pump assembly would address the issue. I could have tried a few other items first, but did not want my dishwasher to be down longer than it was. I ordered and replaced this assembly. I have a Whirlpool gold series that is less than 2 years old as on Jan 2017. I had to reuse the connection to the upper level sprayer tubes as the one that came with did not fit. It was difficult to keep the assembly seated in order to close the 3 clips. It worked and my dishwasher is no longer leaking.
