Stephanie M Brentwood , TN September 10, 2016 Our broiler coil had a blister in it and wasn't working We ordered the part and one extra screw(which we didn't end up using). If possible take door off your oven for easy access and have lighting source to see well. Taking part out was easy. Putting back in was more difficult because you have to match up two layers of parts in our oven. The broiler coil and the broiler shield above it. We used small craft clothes pins to keep wires from going behind the built in oven. We used a small diameter screw driver to match up holes before putting screws in. If you are not an appliance technician who does this a lot, it takes 2 people to replace part. It took us about 1.5 hours, because we first tried to put in in with oven door on. Lorraine C Hickory , NC February 25, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool 24" Built-In Electric Single Oven Self-Clean RBS245PRB00 I wasn't sure the temp probe was reading accurately. I hadn't seen the broiler element glow orange for about 5 years and the door gasket was popping off. So, I decided that from the number of screws needed to remove the worn parts and the " plug and play" appearance of the new parts on you website, I decided I could do this! This also how I approach my plumbing projects.....this really scares my husband! Well, everything came in at once so a few days later I decided it was time to do the deed. I had pre-spritzed the existing screws the night before with a degreaser and scrubbed with a used toothbrush. The screws all loosened up with no problem. Note here: I saw a comment on your website stating that although the screws look like a Phillips head screw, they have more of a star head. I had several of those in my handy dandy tool kit?? It took me about an hour total to unscrew and remove the old parts and pop in the new ones from your company. Easy peasy!! Thank you so much for supplying parts for appliances over 15 years old. Your company is the best. Read More... 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
David D Washington , MI April 24, 2020 Appliance: KitchenAid 30" Built-In Electric Double Oven Thermal Convection Lower Microwave Convection KEMC308KSS01 Broken inner glass Kitchen Aid oven door! Took oven door off, took the broken glass out and replaced the glass with the glass I purchased from AppliancePartsPros! First time went well! Biggest issue were the placement of the correct screws in the correct locations! I did have an issue with your warehouse! They sent the screws but no glass, had to call to have the glass shipped out which took another several days! Dr. DeMello. Read More... Bernard Gutnick G Santa Clara , CA October 05, 2015 Installed used oven in property it now looks brand new! The metal insulation strip is held to the frame with built-in clip, and this retainer and screw. I decided to replace the whole thing. It now looks brand new. One trick - buy a ratchet set to remove the screw which is in pretty tight, or remove the door. The ratchet method works. Put a drop of oil on the new screw. The end result: I purchased a used 24" KitchenAid double oven for $200 which sells for $1800 new. After spending $200 on parts (trim pieces were missing), it now looks absolutely brand new. The bottom oven doesnt look like it was used once. Good way to save money. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Wrench Set
