Jodi G Oak Park , MI December 01, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Electric Range MER6751AAQ Door handle of upper oven broke off Start by removing the frame on the sides and bottom of the door. (Do not unscrew the corner screw holding the side frame and bottom together.) Be careful the glass will fall once the last screw is removed from the bottom so hold tight. Carefully remove glass and set aside. Remove top frame that held the handle. Once all the frame work and outer glass is removed unscrew the bracket that held the door handle from the door. Taking the top frame and bracket insert screw and washer and screw the handle on. Reattach bracket with the top frame and door handle. Put glass in bottom frame and reattach framework. (** Might find it easier to work on by removing the oven door. Just open the door and lift up sliding the door off the hinges. To put door back slide it back on the hinges. This step is not necessary but it does make handling the glass easier.) Read More... 11 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
