Replaced the old door gasket now the oven warms up faster and bakes the stuff easier. Replaced the missing door trim screws. Now the door close without making noises. Simply replaced the old rusty oven racks with the bright, shiny chrome ones! Beautiful! Then used needle nose pliers to take off the old, brittle oven door seal and inserted the clips into the holes in the oven door. Good as new! Was thankful for the video on AppliancePartsPros website that showed someone replacing the oven door seal. It gave me the confidence that it was a VERY simple job! Donald M Oak Lawn , IL July 02, 2018 Appliance: Model MAYTAG OVEN The gasket around the oven door needed replacement I took the torn gasket off, cleaned the oven door and put the new gasket on. Not exactly rocket science, but the Challenger did blow up because of a bad gasket/o-ring joint. Cleaning the door and oven were a much bigger endeavor than replacing a gasket. Read More...
