Tom L Minneapolis , MN March 10, 2018 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer LSQ8000LQ1 Whirlpool LSQ8000 clothes mover (upper agitator) not working correctly I had replaced the Agitator cams a couple of times already due to my brother-in-law overloading the machine which stripped the teeth off of the cams. I also noticed the agitator seemed to 'wobble' and made 'knocking' noises quite a bit. I reviewed the video on the Appliance Parts Pros web site, disassembled the agitator and cleaned everything up, which helped a little, but not enough. Figuring the agitator itself was worn out also, I looked up and ordered all the parts for the upper agitator on the web site. They arrived very quickly, even with standard shipping. It only took about 15 minutes to replace the parts, then we threw a load of towels in. The difference was amazing! the wobble was still present, but much reduced, the knocking noise was gone and the agitator was actually doing its job! The wife says she thinks the clothes are getting cleaner now and feel softer. I had only one issue with the parts, the 'rib' inside the top of the agitator that holds the fabric softener dispenser in place is about half the size of the one in the original agitator, so the dispenser would not stay in place. I was able to resolve this with a couple of plastic retainer pins and a drill. I held the dispenser in place, drilled two holes thru the edge of the dispenser and into the top edge of the agitator and pushed the pins in. The holes are slightly smaller than the pins so they stay in place. For slightly less than $100 including shipping, Appliance Parts Pros saved me from spending $500-$600 on a new washer which I'm pretty sure the wife would not be happy with...... Paul L Green Valley , AZ March 01, 2016 Appliance: Model LSQ8243HZO Lint everywhere in 20+ year washer Used your video and removed agitator and found dogs totally missing. Replaced dogs using agitator repair kit, replaced inner cap and rubber washer and thrust washer. Filter plugs on my old unit do not come out. They seem to be attached from underneath the basket. I called and one of your techs spent 20minutes with me trying to figure out the problem. He consulted an older tech who said that the filters may indeed be attached from the bottom of the basket and the new ones would not fit. All that and I still had not solved the problem. I was not about to attempt the basket removal. I scratched one of the filters and realized that they were covered in matted lint. A scrub brush to each filter did the trick. All the lint removed. Wife happy. Very satisfied. Read More... 11 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Socket Set

Bob U Fillmore , IN January 24, 2017 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL WTW5300SQ0 We had a choice either buy a new washer that will probably cause our clothes to smell or fix our 10 year old whirlpool top load washer After hearing so many friends with horror stories of smelly, moldy, expensive new HE washing machines, we decided to freshen up our 10year old dependable top load machine. We liked that we could decide our own water levels, or even add in another shirt or towel etc. during a wash cycle. We replaced the springs, balance ring, agitator dogs, clutch, water pump, thrust washer, shaft seal, even the plastic tub suspension pads. The parts all fit perfect. The spanner wrench did the trick, to take the tub out. The videos and chat with the pros at AppliancePartsPros.com helped make the project smooth. Our old machine is working great again!!!
