Description

This broken belt switch assembly detects a snapped or loose dryer belt and stops power to drive/heater circuits to prevent further damage. It restores the safety cutoff that keeps the dryer from running with a failed belt. What it does:

• Senses when the drive belt is broken or off the drum and opens the circuit to stop operation
• Prevents the motor and heater from running when the drum can't turn
• Commonly used when the dryer won't tumble, stops soon after starting, or the heater cycles oddly
• Works as the safety cutoff in belt-failure conditions to protect internal components
