Whirlpool 675813 Thermal Fuse OEM Part

My friend researched online what would make a dishwasher just stop working, no power. The person on the you tube video showed how to first start with the thermal fuse. Then searched online for the thermal fuse. You had the part for a small price. I felt it was worth trying to see if that may be the issue. IT WORKED!! I was without a dishwasher for over a year, was planning to by a brand new one but for $23.00 now have a working dishwasher!! YEAH!

I have never worked on a dishwasher in my life. I took the control panel apart and saw that the thermal fuse wire was dark as if it had gotten hot. I went on several you tube video's and learned how to replace this part. I also read a few blogs and discovered that when the fuse goes out there is no power to the panel. I called appliance parts and was disappointed that they could not cross reference my fuse part number to the current replacement part. So I did further research and found the new replacement part number. I called appliance parts back and ordered the replacement fuse. In 2 days I received the part and replaced the fuse. The only tricky part was to get the old wire out of the clip with the paperclip. Had to get it just right to release that harness wire. Anyway my dishwasher is fixed and the whole procedure saved me at least a 100 bucks. Thanks to the Parts Pro's I am good to go. Please have your operators be equiped with cross refeernce charts for your parts that will help emenesly.

I had the thermal fuse tested and came up bad. I ordered the thermal part from appliancepartspros.com and received it in two days. I install the new thermal fuse which took about 15 minutes and problem solved. great work from Meredith at appliancepartspros who told me what could be the problem at least where to start from. My dishwasher quit mid-cycle and there were no lights on nor could I get them to turn on. This dishwasher is probably 15 years old so I thought I’d buy a new one. After a bit of research I decided that the thermal fuse was likely the problem. I ordered the part which arrived a couple of days later and used the video to figure out how to replace the fuse. As soon as the new fuse was installed the lights came back and the dishwasher is working again.
