Description

This 60 Hz mechanical timer controls and advances the dryer's cycles. Replacing a worn timer restores accurate cycle timing so the dryer starts, runs, and shuts off when it should. What it does:

• Sequences power to motor, heat, and other circuits through the cycle using internal cams/contacts
• Advances the cycle at proper intervals for timed and automatic settings
• Helps address symptoms like a cycle that won't start, won't advance, or won't shut off
• Can correct intermittent operation, stalling mid-cycle, or erratic timing

Install notes:

• Disconnect power; shut off gas supply on gas models before servicing
• Access the timer in the control console; remove the rear panel or console screws as required
• Photograph/label wiring and transfer wires one at a time to matching terminals on the new timer
• Mount the timer, transfer the original knob/dial if applicable, reassemble, and test cycle advance
