Gerald S York , PA February 02, 2016 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDE70FXPA3 Kitchenaid dishwasher top rack falling apart Ordered numerous replacement parts. Started with the tracks which required pulling the washer out of the cabinet to reach the screws. Pushed it back in and re-secured. Then stared on the rack and replaced the rack adjusters and various clips. Everything is straight forward and easy to replace. I originally called a local repair place to have them repair it. They came out and said they needed to order parts and they would call back. A week went by and I followed up with them. Had to leave a message for a call back and to this day never got the call back. So I decided to do the repairs myself. I ordered the parts from AppliancePartsPro from the easy to read diagram. I placed the order at 2:43PM on a Friday and received the parts at 12:23PM the next day. Less then 24 hrs! and I only paid for regular shipping. What more could you ask for! Great experience. Pete D Westford , MA March 19, 2017 Appliance: Model KDTE334DWH0 Right top rack rail in dishwasher started misbehaving and dropping ball bearings dishwasher is about 4 5 years old and this is a high wear item The rails are high-end ball bearing style but apparently wear out over time. Ordered both right and left rails even though only one had worn out - figures the other would go soon and the incremental labor and $ was small. Had to pull dishwasher out to access rack rail mounting screws that go from outside of tub to inside. Only took 20 or so minutes to 1. undo screws holding top of dishwasher in place to underside of counter 2.lower front leg adjusting legs so dishwasher could roll out 3. Roll out dishwasher 4. Remove top rack from rails following instructions in user guide 5. Replace rails via 4 bolts/screws holding rails in place on each side 6. Put dishwasher back in place and return legs and screws holding dishwasher in proper position 7. Put top rack back into rails Works like new again! Dustin T Haddonfield , NJ March 07, 2018 Dishwasher upper rack track had failed Apparently this is a wear out item - there is a retaining strip in the track that holds the ball bearings in and it will fail over time, releasing a small army of ball bearings into your dishwasher. Not a great design, IMHO, but easily fixed. Required me to pull the dishwasher cabinet out of the opening and access the fasteners from the outside - literally a 10 minute job. 1 out of 5 wrenches on the difficulty scale. If you can hang a picture without smashing your thumbs or breaking your picture frame you can handle this replacement. Floyd E Gautier , MS January 29, 2016 The teflon strip holding the ball bearings in place in the slide worked out of slide and then the slide would only come out part way Ordered the track, received it in 3 days. Because the track(slide) was screwed from the outside, I had to disconnect the water and electricity to pull the dishwasher from underneath the cabinet. Removed four screws from outside dishwasher, removed old track, replaced with new track and reversed process. It took longer to get to the screws than to replace the track.
