I tested it before I put it in and once I installed it the oven worked as it did before the valve failure. I was pleased that the part was identical to the defective part which made it very easy to install. Louie M Amarillo , TX December 14, 2015 Appliance: Model MAYTAG GEMINI MGR6875ADB Neither oven would come on ignitor would glow but never fire the ovens Got information from a repairman to use a multi-meter to see if the ignitors were drawing 3+ amps through the gas safety valve. They weren't. Took the bottom plate of each oven out and removed the gas burner with the ignitor attached. Unscrewed the ignitors, replaced with new one. The replacements were an exact match, no splicing or wire nuts, just unplug the old ones, plug in the new one and reassemble everything. Took about 10 minutes per oven.
