If your oven won't heat or preheats slowly, the bake element has likely failed. This lower heating element restores consistent baking temperatures. DIY-friendly repair in under 30 minutes.
Appliance Parts Pro' 1" gridded photos of elements helped insure I got the right bake and broil elements for my stove. Super fast shipping was promised in two days and came in one day. The tough part of the repair was getting the rusted sheet metal screws off to remove the old elements. The tough part of the purchase was that no one had an index of parts by the old GE model numbers. For the first time in years both ovens of our GE 1971 40" double stove work. Read more

Burner element burned out and quit working? This dual radiant surface element restores fast, even heating beneath glass cooktops. 10-15 minute repair.
I broke two of the elements in my GE Profile cooktop because I failed miserably at removing the glass top. It pays to do your research, kiddies. All it takes is a Number 10 Torx bit to remove 12 screws holding the glass to the body of the appliance, and it lifts straight up. I was replacing the glass because it broke during my home's construction. Anyway, you need a 1/4" nut driver to remove the mounting tabs on the bottom of the old element and transfer them to the new one. The whole swap out... Read more
Oven not heating? A failed bake element is the most common cause. This part generates heat for baking in the main oven cavity. Moderate DIY repair.
First guess was the Bake Element, but I ran my hands around it and didn't feel any clue of a break/failure in the element. Further research indicated that the Hot Wire Relay is the next likely cause, that was really bad news because that part is unavailable anywhere. Swapped the H1 and H2 wires on the Hot Wire Relay, and found that Broil still worked, which indicated that the relay was good and the Bake Element was the likely cause. This was good news because that Hot Wire Relay is made... Read more

I ordered the both the Pcb assembly and a heater sheath. Upon accessing the Pcb, I immediately discovered it had failed miserably, (contacts burnt and melted, wiring and insulation on one wire suffered severe electrical damage. To put it bluntly a small electrical fire had occurred on the circuit board. There was enough slack in the damaged wire so I removed the affected area, replaced the terminal. Replacing the Pcb was a snap. Disconnect the power, remove the rear cover, prior to removing... Read more
