Paul for Model Number jtp48sf3ss My upper oven will start up and then turn off. I measured the resistance of the temperature sensor and it was around 1078O. Eventually the oven will give an F2 code. any ideas?
Answer Hello Paul, The F-2 fault code is an indication that the control has detected a temperature inside the unit of over 630°F. One thing I always emphasize is to tap on the temperature sensor WB23T10015 while testing it. You see, it is a man made electrical device that can fail and its' failure isn't always definitive. It can begin to fail before its' actual complete failure. This can cause it to give a false reading. Of course, if it still doesn't show to be bad, the clock assembly WB27T10445 is the next component to suspect. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, November 12, 2012
