Charles for Model Number GE Dishwasher PDW9980L00SS When starting the dishwasher, "Normal Cycle" and "Added Heat" are chosen, the "Start" button is pressed, and the door is shut. This worked consistently until the last few weeks, but now only works intermittently. Lately, when this procedure is followed, the dishwasher fills as usual, then empties immediately; all lights go off except green "Start" light, and then the dishwasher, on its own, turns off "Added Heat," switches to "Heated Dry," and then starts this new cycle, not the originally selected cycle. The dishwasher is then turned off, and then there is another attempt by me to set the correct cycle, and the same thing happens. This may occur 5-6 times before it will run the cycle selected. My wife tries switching to different cycles, pushing the up and down arrows, and eventually she is able to get it to stay on "Added Heat." and not switch to "Heated Dry." Does this sound like a Control Board issue?
Answer Hello Charles, This is usually caused by stuck a button on the control panel WD34X11158. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 28, 2013
