Karl B. GE dishwasher modle PDW8680N00SS Washer starts water runs but no spray action from bottom or top wands. Water pumps out more water goes in. Soap door opens still no washing from wands should be able to hear washing action. Now have odor from top of dishwasher like hot odor or slight plastic smell. press reset water pumps out fine open door soap powder in bottom of washer heat element clean bottom wand looks fine slight smell of hot plastic. Could this be control module problem?
Answer Hello Karl, This sounds like the circulation pump motor WD26X10053 has failed or the board WD21X10463 isn't sending 120Vac to the circulation pump motor. Check for 120Vac at the motor on the Dark Blue wire to any White wire. If 120Vac is present when the circulation pump motor should be running, the motor has failed.
