John for Model Number ZGU385NSM2SS None of the burners are sparking. I have checked electrical power and gas flow so now I'm suspecting either the spark module or the transformer as all wiring harnesses and contacts ‘look’ okay. How can I test each of these to be sure?
Answer Hello John, To test the transformer you will need to set a voltmeter to a setting that can read 240Vac. From terminal 1, (common), of the secondary side to terminal 2 you should read 12Vac. From terminal 1 to terminal 3 you should read 240Vac. If this reads correctly, replace the spark module WB13T10076. If not, replace the transformer WB27X21609. If you do not get voltage out of the transformer, verify 120Vac to the input, (primary), side of the transformer before replacing it. As a note, you cannot test the spark module without a high voltage probe so if the wiring is good and the transformer is good, the spark module is the issue. Read More...
