Leo for Model Number GE Dishwasher GSD2200G02CC My dishwasher drains while it is filling, the solenoid does open and close for the drain. I figured it was the timer so I purchased a new one and I have the same problem. I did manually move the solenoid to close off the flapper and the water sprays normally, there is enough pressure that sprays the dishes when it is manually by passed. The solenoid does electrically move up and down, but I was wondering if it possible over heats and releases? Could it be the solenoid for the drain or an obstruction somewhere? It has been working fine and within the past 2 weeks it started this. NOTE: Manually moving the timer to each of the positions the water does turn on but then drains while filling. During the wash cycle the pump runs but no water in the bottom. Thanks in Advance for any assistance.
Answer Hello Leo. It sounds like the solenoid is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, September 4, 2013
