Paul for Model Number WM2487HRM I was advised I needed to replace the bearing and seal, but when I removed the rotor assembly I noticed several magnets were broken and the housing for the tub shaft cracked. I removed the tube from the unit and the tub shaft spins freely. Question, do you think I only need to replace the rotor assembly or will the bearings and seal need to be replaced also?
Answer Paul, if the rear outer tub assembly is cracked, then you would need to replace it AJQ73413811 and it comes with the bearings and seal pre-installed. For the rotor assembly, with those magnets being broken you may want to replace the stator as well due to the fact that it is common for the windings to become damaged when the broken magnets run across the metal plates on the stator 4417EA1002Y.
