Gordon for Model Number DV407AEW/XAA Dryer does not heat. Control panel and motor work fine. Vent is clear. Supply power is OK and all wires are hooked up as they should be. I first replaced the thermal fuse assembly AP5966894 but it did not fix the problem. I then replaced the thermostat AP4201898 and the thermistor AP4201716 and the dryer still does not heat. The heating element appears to be in good condition. It has no breaks and the coils are not touching/grounding to anything. I do not have a test gauge and was wondering if the element is the next logical (or only other) piece to replace at this point.
Answer Gordon, I would recommend at this point to get a multi-meter or someone with a multi-meter to check the voltages to see where it is being lost or if there is 240vac getting to the components. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, February 17, 2020
