Debbie for Model Number RF260BEAESR My evaporator keeps freezing up and the fan starts getting louder and louder. The refrigerator temp. is cooling properly but the freezer is too cold. Thanks for any help.
Answer Debbie, the freezer thermistor DA32-10104N would need to be tested for proper operation and it should measure a resistance of 28KO at 0°F, 13KO at 32°F, and 5.6KO at 71°F. The defrost heater DA47-00424M and defrost thermostat DA47-00243K should be tested to ensure they are operating properly as well.
