Sue for Model Number RF26HFENDBC/AA-01 The back portion of my refrigerator is icing up through the small holes in the back. Should I replace the temperature sensor?
Answer Sue, this can be caused by a failed cabin sensor DA32-10105X, defrost heater DA47-00244U, defrost sensor DA32-10104N, or if the defrost drain is clogged and not draining properly. The defrost heater should measure 120 Ohms of resistance and there should not be any standing water or ice just under the evaporator. The sensors can be tested in ice water and should measure 13290 Ohms at 32°F, 12233 Ohms at 35°F, 11000 Ohms at 40°F, and they should measure 4690 Ohms at a room temperature of 80°F. Read More...
