Patrick for Model Number MZD2766GEB 7 Year old Maytag side by side, used for 3.5 years then stored in garage for 3.5 years. Re-deployed two weeks ago and worked fine for a while then freezer stopped working two days ago. Opened up back and an animal was building a nest around the compressor. All cleaned out but freezer still not cooling. Compressor was pretty warm. No sign of chewed wires or anything else. Could this nest have destroyed a relay?
Answer Hello Patrick. You could have a relay/overload problem, if the compressor got to hot. Listen to the compressor, and see if it hums and then clicks.
