Dom for Model Number ED5RHGXMT00

I ordered part AP6009320 (compressor starting device), but I don't think this is right. In the video for part AP3885081 (compressor starting device kit) the gentleman mentions style 1 which is what I have. In fact my setup looks to be exactly what appears in the video for part AP6023677 (capacitor) including the single wire harness with white and red wires together, each with very narrow plugs maybe 3/16". Question is do I need part AP3885081 and AP6023677? My capacitor is fried and the internals of the white "style 1" housing are fried to pieces. Thanks!

Answer

Dom, You would only need to get the overload relay kit as the capacitor would not cause the compressor to not run.

Answer

Dom, Based on your post description and information Yes, you will need both, the 8201786 / 2220475 start device kit and the WPW10662129 / 999532 capacitor. Presumably, you have not had the compressor replaced and still have the "production" compressor and start device in the ED5RHGXMT00 refrigerator. Between the written instructions and the videos attached to both parts, you shouldn't have any issues installing the components.
