Paul N for Model Number Whirlpool DU1055XTVS0 Drain pump timer only provides power to the pump for 60 seconds at the end of the wash cycles, leaving water nearly up to the bottom of the heating element. Tech sheet says drain pump should run for 1:30-2:00 minutes. The issue is, of course, that a new wash/rinse cycle starts with the tub half full of dirty water.
