Ferg for Model Number GU2455XTSTO The clean light keeps flashing, and it won't do anything but drain for 2 minutes.I understand its the heater circuit. Is that just another name for the control board?
Answer Hello Ferg, You will want to do a resistance check to make sure that heater is good. You will also want to check connections to make sure no loose or damaged connections. Do a continuity check on the wiring from heater to control board. If all this checks ok then you would replace control board. If heater does not check good then you would replace heater. If there is wiring issue wiring would have to be corrected. Heater should ohm out at 10-30 ohms. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
