Silvia for Model Number Maytag LDE4914ACE My dryer is 15 yrs old but very good condition. It has started a squealing noise thinking maybe the rollers need changing. Still heats and turns fine. What all should I change on a dryer this age while it's apart for changing rollers? Also, please indicate part number for proper rollers to make sure I purchase right ones.
Answer Silvia, At 15 years old, and a squealing noise, we would recommend you replace the following parts: 12001541 drum support rollers (2 req.), WP6-3037050 Idler Pulley, WPY312959 Drum Belt. also needed TJ93240 Turbine oil to lubricate the new rollers and idler bearings, and WP99003172 Poly Lube, a small dab of lubricant on the front polymer drum glides. Make sure you remove all the original grease, oil and debris from the roller and idler pulley shafts, and dust off the front glides. Thanks, Read More...
