Bob C. for Model Number G1500xhw0 15 " whirlpool floor model See my first question at the top of the page.. I purchased the new control board from you .Installed it. Now the machine is making ice again , However it still goes in to the surging mode because the water pump is not getting water. After a while it starts pumping water and making ice again. If I shut off the ice maker and restart it it starts pumping water into the resevior and pumping water to the plate. Seems like the NEW control board is flaky just like my old one only not as bad. It looks like these boards are rebuilt? is it possible that the relays were not replaced on this new board or is there anything else in the system that would cause this problem. I appreciate your help.
Answer Hello Bob. It sounds like the water valve W10801996 may not be bringing water into the unit at all times. If so, replace the valve.
