Toni for Model Number KUDS01FKSS0 The dishwasher overflows the water to the floor when is not in use. When I open the door, the water is filled passed the float cover top. I would assume there is a backflow/check valve in the dishwasher that is not working. Is the Float Switch Kit AP3138166 a backflow/check valve? What is your opinion?
Answer Hi Toni. The switch controls the voltage that turns on/off the water valve. When the door is closed and wash is pressed, then the float switch will have power untill it raises the float level to stop the water right at the bottom of the heating element. The drain hose has to be installed with a loop at the highest point under the sink. Then taught into the drain port. You might have the drain hose kinked holding the drain water back. At The out put of the drain pump there usually is a check valve. This part # is WP8268375. The Float switch is part # [AP3038166]. Thank you. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, August 15, 2011
