Mike for Model Number KAWS850JQ3 Machine spins very slow. I turn timer to another spin, most times faster spin. Is this definitely a timer problem ?
Answer Hi MIke. Yes it does sound like you need the timer part # WP3954915. First remove power. Pull the unit out half way and tilt the unit back and support it. Then remove the front pump hose and make sure there is nothing stuck in the pump. The pump is part # WP3363892. If you have found a puddle of black dust under the center of the washer, the motor coupler needs replaced part # 285753A. If not, then set it up normal. Then use a putty knife to release the clips under the console front . Under the end caps in the front. As you release the clips and have both released, then fold the console up and back. Then release the lid switch connector. Remove the lt. and rt. wavy brass color clips with a screwdriver in the front of them. Then open the lid and reach in with one hand and lift the cabinet up and back off the frame. Then unclasp the tub cover and inspect inside if there is any wadded up clothes in between the tubs not allowing it to spin. Remember to reinstall the cabinet by putting the front lower cabinet lip under the frame first as you lower the sides onto the frame side top. There are 2 locator tabs that stick up from the side of the frame. If they are not up, the cabinet will not fit tight correctly with the brass clips. Thank You. Read More...
