Scott for Model Number SVD48600P I bought the door hinges from you some years ago as part number AP368960 on order #258878, but they do not work well so I want to replace them. Now I see they are available much more expensively as part number AP4089724. Are the parts different? Were the previous parts made by a 3rd party supplier instead of Whirlpool?
Answer Scott, Nothing major has changed, the hinges are still produced by the same manufacturer, smae process and parts. If, This time, you replace the hinge assemblies, also replace the receptacles WP71002206. This will help insure the proper hinge operation and spring tension and prolong the life of the hinge system, and proper door closure for quite some time. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
