Scott for Model Number MDB6650AWB I have no power to the dishwasher using any of the push button switches. There is power going into the right side of the door switch. When the switch is latched, I'm unable to get any power from the left sided terminals. I replaced the switch and I still have the same problem. I even replaced the control panel but the washer still won't turn on. The float switch seems to test out OK on the multimeter. ApplianceParts is sending out another door switch. Am I correct in assuming that once the door switch is latched, there should be power coming out of the left side of the switch? Also, when the door is latched, I can't measure any more voltage on the right side of the switch until the switch is again unlatched. Thanks for your help.
Answer Hello Scott. Test both switches, not for power, but for continuity. They both should close when the latch is closed on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
