Jill E for Model Number K5-A Mixer has been running fine for years. Now it runs okay on low speeds for a short time, but, after that, it makes intermittent groaning noises and the speed becomes irregular. The mixer feels and smells hot. The motor brushes are okay. Planetary is well-greased and worm-drive gear appears okay. Would like to replace these two parts. Do you have them? Or is there a substitute? Mounting Plate Assy Part Number: C-18195 Resistor And Lead Sleeves Sub-Assy. Part Number: B-89759-1 Thank you very much, Jill E
Answer Jill, While the phase board could be the issue it would sound more likely that the motor is straining. You will want to check all the gears to make sure that there is no damage to any of them. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, February 5, 2015
