Garrett for Model Number KSM150PSCG Hello. My Kitchenaid stand mixer (KSM150PSCG, Artisan 325 W) is not able to run at low speed ('Stir' through 6 are all the same (medium) speed, 8 and 10 appear accurate). I have re positioned the speed control plate, however this has not been able to fix the problem. The speed control plate is getting 120 V. At 'Stir', 2, 4, and 6 position the motor (white and red wires) is getting 70 V. At position 8 the motor is getting 80 V. At position 10 the motor is getting 120 V. I assume the phase control board is bad, but is there a way to check this (or maybe what I have done above is the way...)? The mixer is brand new and has had this issue since its first use. We have had it less than 2 months.
Answer Garrett, If the mixer is brand new it would be recommended to check with the manufacturer about warranty but does sound like the phase control board is faulty. The way that you tested would be correct. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, January 5, 2016
