Ksm90 for Model Number KSM90WH KSM90 Mixer will not turn on at any speed. Used meter to measure input voltage- got 120VAC between the black and white (lower left) leads on the control plate. I also measured the voltage between the red and white leads on the right hand side of the control plate. Also got 120VAC when “on” at any speed setting. When in the off position this reads about 2.2VAC. I assume this is the voltage going to the motor? The brushes are about 11/16 inches long. The unit worked one day, next day plugged it in and it wouldn’t work. No bad smells. Any suggestions on what’s wrong?
Answer KSM90, If you are receiving 120 Vac on the red and white wire to the motor then the control plate is faulty and would need to be replaced. For the issue of the motor not running, make sure that the brushes are in place properly, if they are then this will be an issue with the motor winding that is the most likely issue. Read More...
